At 04:17, a vehicle driving toward Abingdon ran off Wyndale Road and hit a drainage culvert, traveled through a yard, and ended up hitting a house. The driver was transported to Johnston Memorial Hospital by Washington County Life Saving Crew with minor injuries. The house sustained little damage, although a fence in the front of the house was destroyed. Chief 201, Rescue Engine 205 and Battalion 209 responded along with units from the Virginia State Police, Washington County Sheriff’s Department, and the Washington County Life Saving Crew.
