Who are we?

We are Abingdon Fire Department, formed in 1808 and chartered in 1949. Throughout the years, we have served the historic town of Abingdon Virginia by providing the highest standard of emergency response.

 

Who do we serve?

Abingdon Fire Department is one of nine departments within Washington County, covering 60 square miles of rural mountainous countryside. We provide fire service and rescue operations for 16,000+ people in our district.
