The Abingdon Fire Department was dispatched to the intersection of Village boulevard and US19 Porterfield Highway for a reported Crash with crane in a creek at 1540. Units arrived to find a crane on its passenger side in the creek leaking fluids. AFD along with assistance from Bristol Virginia Fire Department HazMat Team, and Washington County Fire Rescue all were able to work to contain the incident. The crane was removed from the creek and all units cleared to return to the station.
