At 14:50, Abingdon Fire was dispatched to an incident on Campus Drive where a vehicle ran into a building. The vehicle hit the building and pushed in the walls of an office. One occupant had left the damaged office just minutes prior to the accident. The driver of the vehicle was checked by Washington County Life Saving Crew personnel. Chief 202, Rescue Engine 205 and Battalion 209 responded along with units from the Abingdon Police Department and Washington County Life Saving Crew. Electrical power was shut off to the electrical receptacles on the affected wall.
