At 1604, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a report of a vehicle running into a building. Upon arrival, a pickup truck has run into a motel room. Driver was not injured. The front of the room was destroyed with limited or no damage to the adjacent rooms. Rescue Engine 205, Chief 201, and Battalion 209 responded along with units of the Washington County Life Saving Crew and Abingdon Police Department. After a wrecker was able to pull the truck out of the motel room, units cleared the scene.
