On Saturday August 6, 2016 at 08:46 Abingdon Fire Department was dispatched to an automobile fire in the 900 block of Hillman Highway. Upon arrival fire had engulfed the cab of the pickup truck. The fire was extinguished quickly. Due to the location of the vehicle, vinyl siding on the end of a mobile home was damaged. Chief 201, Engine 204, Tanker 207, Brush 208 and Duty Officer 209 responded along with the Washington County Life Saving Crew and Abingdon Police Department.
