At 14:03, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a vehicle fire in the 900 Block of E Main Street, the fire was confined to the trunk area of the car and the underside of the rear. Town Sewer Department were on scene and knocked down the fire prior to the Engine arriving. Engine 204, Utility 207, and Command 209 responded along with a unit of the Washington Life Saving Crew.
