At 08:56, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a vehicle fire at a local car dealership. Upon arrival the fire had been contained to the engine compartment by employees using portable fire extinguishers. The vehicle was being picked up by a local wrecker service when it caught fire. Chief 201, Rescue Engine 206 and Battalion 209 responded along with units of the Abingdon Police Department and the Washington County Life Saving Crew.
