At 14:29, Abingdon Fire responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 600 Block of W Main Street. A car rear-ended a sport utility vehicle, causing heavy damage to the car and spilling fluid in the roadway. Chief 202, Rescue Engine 205 and Battalion 209 responded along with units from Washington County Life Saving Crew, Abingdon Police, and Abingdon Public Works. Public Works brought a street sweeper to assist in the cleanup.
