At 18:08, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Lee Highway and Fifteen Mile Boulevard. Fire personnel contained fluids leaked from the vehicles and cleared the roadway of vehicle debris. Chief 201, Rescue Engine 205, and Battalion 209 responded along with units from the Washington County Life Saving Crew and Virginia State Police.
