At 00:09, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a vehicle accident on Interstate 81 in the northbound lane at the 16.2 mile marker. Vehicle had rolled over and landed upright. The single occupant of the vehicle was transported by the Washington County Life Saving Crew to Johnston Memorial with unknown injuries. Engine 201, Brush 208, Utility 207, Command 209, and Command 210 all responded along with units from Washington County Life Saving Crew, Abingdon Police, and the VA State Police.
