At 13:02, Abingdon Fire was dispatched to a single vehicle accident on Interstate 81. The vehicle was traveling southbound when it veered off the roadway, hit a deep ditch and ended up on its top in the median. Engine 201, Utility 207, Brush 208 and Command 210 responded along with units of the Washington County Life Saving Crew and VA State Police.
