At 12:30, a single vehicle came off Interstate 81 Exit 19 Southbound off ramp and overturned in the hole at this location. This is the second accident that the department had responded to at this location in the last 6 days. Some members are starting to refer this exit as the “Bermuda Triangle” due to the large number of accidents that seen to be pulled into this hole. Excess speed coming off the Interstate is probably the greatest cause of these crashes. Engine 201, Brush 208, Utility 207 and Command 209 responded along with 3 units of the Washington County Life Saving Crew and VA State Police.
