At 16:43, Abingdon Fire responded to a head-on collision in the 200 Block of East Main Street near the Main and Court Street intersection. A vehicle traveling west veered over the center line and hit a vehicle traveling east bound. Traffic was diverted at the Court Street/Main Street intersection and the Main/Tanner Street intersection by Abingdon Fire units. There was reported 6 injuries in the accident, none too serious. Engine 201, Brush 208, Utility 207, Transport 206, Command 209, and Command 210 responded along with units of the Abingdon Police, Washington County Life Saving Crew, and Abingdon Ambulance Service.
