At 19:53, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a head-on collision at the Intersection of Boone Street and Thompson Drive. Drivers and occupants of the vehicles were treated by members of the Washington County Life Saving Crew. Heavy front end damage was observed on both vehicles. Traffic was diverted around the scene until fire personnel could clean the roadway. Engine 201, Utility 207, Command 209 and Command 210 responded along with WCLSC units 54 and 58 and Abingdon Police units. All units cleared at 20:53.
