At 19:38, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a single vehicle accident at the intersection of Black Hollow Road and Porterfield Highway. Vehicle was traveling southbound on Porterfield and ran off the roadway, entering the median and across the northbound lanes into a culvert. No injuries were reported. Engine 201, Brush 208, Utility 207 and Command 209 responded along with units of the Washington County Life Saving Crew, VA State Police, and Washington County Sheriffs’ Department.
