At 16:58, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a single vehicle rollover accident in the Northbound lane of Interstate 81. The single occupant was treated by Washington County Life Saving Crew and transported to Johnston Memorial Hospital. Chief 201, Chief 202, Rescue Engine 205, Rescue Engine 206, and Utility 210 responded along with units from the Washington County Life Saving Crew, Virginia Department of Transportation, and Virginia State Police.
