At 19:36, Abingdon Fire was dispatched to a vehicle accident at Exit 19 at the Southbound exit ramp of Interstate 81. This was the 4th accident at this location since December 4. This accident resulted in minor injuries when a jeep failed to make the turn and ran off into the deep hole hitting a tree. Engine 201, Utility 207, and Command 209 responded along with units of the Washington County Life Saving Crew, Abingdon Police, and VA State Police.
