At 13:45, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a vehicle accident at the intersection of Cook and Cummings Street. Two vehicles were involved, with the driver of the first vehicle transported to Johnston Memorial Hospital by the Washington County Life Saving Crew. Abingdon Fire personnel assisted the Crew in the removal of the driver from the vehicle. Engine 201 responded along with Abingdon Police units.
