At 19.54, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Wyndale Road and Wolfe Creek Trail. A passenger car was eastbound on Wyndale and was stopped to turn left on the Wolfe Creek Trail. A pickup failed to stop and struck the passenger car in the rear. Both drivers were removed from the vehicles on backboards due to possible back injuries. Engine 201, Utility 207, and Command 209 responded along with units of the Washington County Life Saving Crew and Abingdon Police.
