At 15:16, Abingdon Fire was dispatched to a two vehicle accident in the 22000 block of Watauga Road. While units were enroute, they were advised of entrapment. Upon arrival, fire personnel used our extrication tools to remove the top from the ca r and assisted Life Saving Crew personnel with their extrication tools. After male driver was removed from the vehicle, he was transported by MedFlight to Bristol Regional Medical Center. Abingdon Engine 201, Tanker 202, Command 209, and Utility 207 responded along with Washington County Life Saving Crew 51 and 54, Abingdon Ambulance Service, Washington County Sheriffs’ Department, and the VA State Police.
