At 19:38, Abingdon Fire was dispatched to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of E. Main Street and the Southbound On Ramp of Exit 19 Interstate 81. One occupant was transported to Johnston Memorial Hospital by units from the Washington County Life Saving Crew. One vehicle had hard impact to the passenger side with side air bag deployment. VA State Police investigated the accident.
