At 18:53, Abingdon Fire was dispatched to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Porterfield Highway and Everett Hagy Road. Three occupants of the vehicles were transported to Johnston Memorial Hospital by Washington County Life Saving Crew and Washington County Fire Rescue. Rescue Engine 205, Rescue Engine 206, Battalion 209 and Utility 210 responded along with units from the Virginia State Police and Washington County Sheriff’s Department.
