At 07:09, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Cummings and Cook Streets. Both drivers were evaluated by Emergency Medical Services personnel. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and the cleanup was extensive. Chief 202, Rescue Engine 205 and Battalion 209 responded along with units from the Abingdon Police Department.
