At 1324, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a vehicle hitting a house. Upon arrival, a truck had rolled down the hill from a trailer park above and hit a mobile home along Walden Road; knocking it off its foundation. There were no injuries, but the owner of the truck was reported to have taken the license tags off the truck and left the scene. Tower 203, Rescue 205, and Battalion 209 responded, along with units of the Washington County Life Saving Crew and Abingdon Police. Since the incident was outside the corporate limits of Abingdon, the Virginia State Police was called to work the incident.
