At 22:05, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a overturned tractor-trailer on Jonesboro Road under the Exit 14 bridge. The truck ended up on its side and was leaking engine fluids. The truck was hauling steel. Fire units cleaned up the roadway and controlled traffic until the truck could be up-righted. There were no injuries. Washington County Life Saving Crew responded along with the VA State Police and the Washington County Sheriffs’ Department. Engine 201,Brush 208, Utility 207, and Command 209 responded to the call.
