At 07:14, Abingdon Fire and Washington County Life Saving Crew were dispatched to an overturned tractor trailer accident on the North Bound side of Interstate 81 at the Exit 19 On Ramp. The tanker truck that hauls milk was empty. The driver was able to escape the cab of the truck and was very fortunate that he received only a cut finger and a burn from the seat belt. Engine 201, Utility 207, Utility 206, Brush 208 and Command 209 responded along with WCLSC Unit 58 and the VA State Police.
