At 11:29, Abingdon Fire was requested to assist Damascus Fire on a 3 vehicle accident in the 18000 Block of Jeb Stuart Highway. The driver of the first vehicle was treated and transported to Johnston Memorial Hospital by the Damascus Rescue Squad. Abingdon Fire personnel cleaned up the roadway and assisted in traffic control until the vehicles could be moved off the roadway. Engine 201, Utility 207, and Command 210 responded. VA State Police investigated the accident.
