Structure Fire on Wiley Street – July 5, 2011

At 09:26, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a structure fire in the 300 Block of Wiley Street. Upon arrival, 2 female subjects had exited the structure and were standing in the front. Abingdon Police assisted in moving these occupants to a safer location. Fire was in a rear bedroom when Engine 204 arrived. The fire was quickly extinguished with fire damage to the rear room and smoke damage to the remainder of the structure. Red Cross was notified to provide assistance to the displaced occupants. Engine 204, Tower 203, Tanker 202, and Utility 207 responded along with the Washington County Life Saving Crew and Abingdon Police.
