At 20:07, Abingdon Fire was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 14000 Block of Whites Mill Road. Initial units on scene advised the structure was fully involved. There was also a report of a possible victim still inside, but that proved to be untrue. Structure was a total loss. The cause is still being investigated. Engine 204, Tower 203, Tanker 202, Utility 207, Utility 208, Command 209 and Command 210 responded. Green Spring Fire Department was requested to assist with their air unit. Also assisting were units of the Washington County Life Saving Crew, Abingdon Police, and VA State Police.
