At 10:09, Abingdon Fire Department was alerted to assist Washington County Fire Rescue and Goodson Kinderhook Fire Rescue on a structure fire in the 13000 Block of Rich Valley Road. Units Chief 201, Tanker 207, and Utility 210 Responded to assist WCFR and GKFR, along with Washington County Life Saving Crew. Upon arrival at the scene GKFR already was interior of the structure fighting the fire. There was heavy smoke coming from the roof. Units from the AFD assisted in firefighting operations, and shuttling water from a hydrant and back to the fire. A fourth alarm was alerted for Brumley Gap Volunteer Fire Department for additional Manpower and an additional Tanker. There were no injuries reported at the fire. Red Cross was contacted for assistance to the family.
