At 18:06, Abingdon Fire was alerted to assist Damascus Fire on a structure fire in the 29000 Block of Rhea Valley Road. As units arrived on the scene, one end of the structure was heavily involved in fire. Meadowview Fire was also dispatched to assist with water supply operations. Heavy winds added to the fire spread, causing the structure to be a total loss. The American Red Cross assisted the family. Chief 201, Rescue Engine 206, Tanker 207, Battalion 209 and Utility 210 responded along with Damascus and Meadowview Fire Units, Damascus Rescue and Washington County Sheriff’s Department.
