At 03:51, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a structure fire in the 300 block of Park Street. Engine 204 and Command 209 were returning from a trash fire in the Exit 13 area when this call was received. Upon arrival, heavy fire and smoke was visible in this motorcycle repair shop. A passenger car in a shed connected to the building was on fire along with fire in several areas of the shop . The building was a metal structure that had replaced a wooden garage that had burnt several years ago. Abingdon Police investigators are looking into the cause of the fire. Engine 204, Tanker 202, Tower 203, Utility 207, Brush 208, and Command 209 responded along with units of the Washington County Life Saving Crew and Abingdon Police.
