At 02:48, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a structure fire in a single-family dwelling in the 300 block of Jamison Street. The fire damage was contained to the kitchen and the remainder of the structure suffered smoke damage. Chief 201, Engine 204, Rescue Engine 206, Battalion 209, and Utility 210 responded along with units of the Washington County Life Saving Crew and Abingdon Police.
