Abingdon Fire was alerted for automatic aid with Green Spring Fire to a structure fire in the 24000 Block of Cox Mill Road. Upon arrival, heavy smoke and flames were seen coming from the right portion of the structure near the chimney. No injuries were reported. The American Red Cross was on scene to assist with temporary housing. 421 Area Emergency Services and Volunteer Fire Department from Tennessee was alerted to assist. Engine 204, Tanker 207 and Command 209 responded along with units from Green Spring Fire, 421 Emergency Services and Washington County Life Saving Crew.
