At 1735, Abingdon Fire and Meadowview Fire were alerted to a structure fire in the 20000 Block of Colanade Drive. Upon arrival, heavy fire and smoke were noted in the garage end of the residential structure. Another alarm was sounded to obtain assistance from Washington County Fire Rescue. High winds hampered the firefighting efforts. The structure was a total loss, but no injuries were reported. Red Cross was on hand to assist the family. Chief 201, Chief 202, Battalion 209, Engine 204, Tanker 207 and Utility 210 responded along with units from Meadowview Fire, Washington County Fire Rescue, Washington County Life Saving Crew, and Abingdon Police.
