Structure Fire in Damascus – May 4, 2018

At 07:07, Abingdon Fire was dispatched for automatic aid with Damascus Fire to Columbus McKinnon in Damascus. Upon arrival fire and heavy smoke was observed on the roof of the building. The fire originated in the heat treatment processing room. The building did sustain a hole in the roof from the blaze. Chief 202, Tower 203, Utility 210 and Utility 211 responded along with Damascus Fire and Glade Spring Fire and Damascus Rescue. There were no injuries reported. A similar fire happened at the plant on January 20, 2017.
