At 12:54, Abingdon Fire was dispatched for automatic aid with Damascus Fire to a structure fire at the intersection on Vails Mills Road and Coronett Road. Upon arrival, the abandon house was fully involved. Rescue Engine 206 and Battalion 209 responded along with Damascus Fire, Damascus Rescue and Glade Spring Fire. It was believed that there might have been several residents in the structure, but those residents were later located safely in another area.
