At 03:05, Abingdon Fire was alerted to assist Green Spring Fire Dept on a structure fire on Cleveland Road. This historic house built in the 1800’s was fully engulfed in flames when the first units arrived on scene. The owner was out of town when the blaze started and the cause has not been determined. Due to the distance of the closest fire hydrant, water had to be shuttled to the scene. There were no reported injuries to firefighters. Engine 204, Tanker 202, Utility 207, Transport 206, Command 209 and Command 210 responded to the blaze along with units from the Washington County Fire Rescue and Washington County Life Saving Crew.
