At 12:43, the Abingdon Fire Department was dispatched to smoke in a building at Greendale Home; a rest home facility located at 18180 Rich Valley Road. Responding units included Engine 204, Tower 203, Tanker 202, and Command 209. The cause was determined to be a locked up electrical motor in a HVAC unit. Smoke was quickly removed using an exhaust fan. Washington County Life Saving Crew also responded to the scene.
