At 07:10, Abingdon and Meadowview Fire Departments were dispatched to a vehicle accident in the 26000 block of Watauga Road. Upon arrival., the Isuzu Rodeo vehicle was on its side with a single female occupant trapped inside. Due to the position of the victim, she could not be removed from a door. Extrication was started with Abingdon Fire assisting the Washington County Life Saving Crew in removing the top of the vehicle. Meadowview Fire set up the landing zone for MedFlight. Va State Police investigated the accident.
