At 15:35, Abingdon Fire received a report of a vehicle accident on Vance’s Mill Road. Chief 201, Rescue Engine 206 and Utility 210 responded. Upon arrival, a single vehicle had run off the roadway and down an embankment. There were 3 occupants in the vehicle and all were checked by EMS with no transports. Washington County Life Saving Crew responded along with the Virginia State Police. Traffic control was conducted by fire personnel until a local wrecker company was able to recover the vehicle.
