At 20:27, Abingdon Fire responded to a single vehicle accident on the 27000 Block of Rivermont Drive. Driver indicated she was attempting to avoid hitting a deer, ran up on a bank beside the roadway, and flipped. Although transported to Johnston Memorial Hospital, she was reported to have minor injuries. Rescue Engine 205, Utility 210, Battalion 209 and Chief 201 responded along with units of the Washington County Life Saving Crew and Virginia State Police.
