At 12:32, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a single vehicle accident in the 400 Block of Green Springs Road. There was one occupant in the vehicle and she was able to crawl out. The position that the vehicle landed made it difficult the the two wreckers to pull it out. Engine 201, Utility 207 and Command 209 responded, along with units from the Washington County Life Saving Crew and Abingdon Police.
