At 16:15, Abingdon Fire received a call of a possible accident with several power poles down at the intersection of E Main Street and Hillman Highway. Upon arrival, it was determined that there were no vehicles involved; the poles just fell. We assisted in the road closure until police units brought in barricades to block the roadway. Engine 201, Utility 207, Brush 208 and Command 210 responded along with units of the Washington County Life Saving Crew and Abingdon Police. Utility crews works thru the night to restore the poles and lines.
