At 09:48, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a motor vehicle accident where a pickup truck ran into a building. The driver was in a parking space in the front of the building and hit the accelerator instead of the brake. Damage was extensive to the building. No injuries were reported. Chief 201, Rescue Engine 205 and Battalion 209 responded along with units from Abingdon Police Department and Abingdon Ambulance Service. Fire Units remained on scene until the building manager arrived on scene.
