At 14:28, Abingdon Fire was dispatched to establish a landing zone for Med Flight and to assist in an accident at the intersection of Farnsworth Road and Watauga Road. The female victim was struck by a vehicle at this intersection. She was taken by Med Flight helicopter to Bristol Regional Medical Center with undetermined injuries. Engine 201, Brush 208, Utility 207 and Command 209 responded along with the Virginia State Police and the Washington County Life Saving Crew.
