At 07:19, Abingdon Fire was dispatched to a single vehicle accident on Interstate 81 in the south bound lane near the Exit 13 off ramp. The three occupants in the vehicle escaped without injury. One lane was blocked during the rush hour traffic until a wrecker was dispatched to the scene. Engine 204, Utility 207, and Command 209 responded along with the Washington County Life Saving Crew and the VA State Police.
