At 2240 hrs, Abingdon Fire Department was dispatched to a garage fire. Upon arrival found a large amount of fire. Fire was extinguished and no other property was damaged.
Closecall
One firefighter fell into a pit in the floor of the garage. A Mayday was called and he was quickly extricated from the pit. EMS evaluated him on scene and he was transported to the Emergency Room for evaluation, He released with only minor injuries.
