At 16:56, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a structure fire on Self Hill on the west end of Abingdon. Engine 204, Tanker 202, and Tower 203 responded from Station 200 and Engine 201, Utility 207, and Brush 208 were alerted to the call while returning from a motor vehicle accident on Green Spring Road and these units also responded. Upon arrival, it was discovered to be a trash and rubbish fire behind a mobile home. A hose line was used from Brush 208 and was supplied water from Engine 201 to extinguish the fire.
